It's quickest and easiest to demonstrate in Photoshop: Open Photoshop and a new blank Photoshop default document. Open Edit > Assign Profile and make it sRGB if it's not already. Close the dialog. Make a patch of #0074aa in one corner. Edit > Convert to Profile and choose Adobe RGB.
Hello, I need to color convert path items stroke/fill in CMYK colorspace to RGB colorspace - essentially the functionality given by Edit > Edit Colors > Convert to RGB. In my code, I first select the path items. I then invoke the Convert to RGB menu action. However, nothing really happens. The colors stay in CMYK. The document color mode is RGB.
The normal way to design a logo for people who actually open Illustrator once in a while, is to first set it up for print in CMYK and always assume the thing will get printed at some point in time, regardess of one's Figma skills. That way, you first and foremost have a CMYK logo. Then, you convert that to RGB for web.
I have the following script that resizes the first artboard of any PDF file to a specified size in Illustrator. It works and I want to add a feature that converts the Document Color Mode in illustrator to RGB. I am open to making a donation to any programmer/scripter that can modify my script. //
To convert the Illustrator file to RGB, select RGB Color from the Document Color Mode drop-down under the File menu. Then do as BongSoo suggested above if the colors are not as expected. BongSoo
